Principal - Claire Beddow
                               
Claire started her training at the age of 4 and went on to further her
Qualifications at Pattisons College, where she became an Associate of
the I.S.T.D and I.D.T.A. Claire has had a long career in the Performing
Arts in Musicals and Cabaret as well as choreographing numerous
shows and performances with her own dance troupe C’est Chic.
As a Choreographer she has worked with many Artistes such as
Danny La Rue and Cheryl Baker to name but a few.

She opened The Beddow Academy in 1994 and has had many
successful years with pupils taking dance, drama and singing exams
all with excellent results, as well as them performing in the West End
in local shows and at Euro Disney. Ex pupils have also gone on to have
successful careers in their own rights in the Performing Arts.

Drama Teacher - Mark Gregson

Marks professional acting career began at the age of ten when he appeared in the West End production of ‘Oliver’ at the Albery Theatre.A graduate with First Class Honours from the University of London, he has since combined varied careers in both acting and teaching.Theatrical credits include appearances at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley; the Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury; Hever Lakeside Theatre at Hever Castle and at the Titchfield Abbey Theatre Festival, Southampton.Mark has led Shakespeare workshops nationwide, as well as having ongoing engagements at Theatre Schools in Ashford, Dover, and East Grinstead.

Mark is also a LAMDA Examiner.
 

Dance/Showkidz/Fitness Teacher - Clare Reed

Clare started dancing at the age of 9 and went on to obtain her GCSE in
Dance. She attended The Beddow Academy from 1996 until 2005.

She then pursued her career as a dancer working for Warner Hotels and the Hotel Burstin,she furthered her teaching qualifications at The Page
Mason School in Broadstairs.

She not only teaches at The Beddow Academy, but also for a Private School in Ramsgate as well as for a number of dance groups and school in Kent.

Clare is a fully trained Zumba, Powerhoop and Popdance instructor.

Singing Teacher - Sarah Head

Sarah Head trained at The Academy Of Live And Recorded Arts and has been performing as an actress and singer for over 20 years . She played Fiona Walker in “Eastenders “, Gretel in “ Afterlife “ , and “Never So Good “ both for The National Theatre , and had toured with Alled Jones in the musical “ White Christmas “. She has appeared in many regional reps , played The Bakers Wife in “ Into The Woods “ , Daphne in “ Eustace Bros “ for BBC , Nora in “ A Dolls House “ for Ibsen Stage Company , and Mrs Cratchit in “ A Christmas Carol “ for Derby Playhouse . DANCE/ PBT TEACHER- JESSICA-LOUISE WALL

Jessica-Louise began her training with Beddow Academy Studios, gaining her vocational examinations, performing experience and competing at Festivals.

Having a passion for both dance and teaching, Jessica auditioned successfully, securing a place and completing her 3 year vocational training at Dance College Whitstable. She gained her full ISTD ( Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing ) DDI’s and DDE’s in Ballet, Modern and Tap Dance.

She chose to further her training, gaining her PBT certification. Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative programme developed by Marie Walton- Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet.

Jessica-Louise currently teaches at various different Dance Schools and has many private students.

Street Dance Teacher- Taylor Munday

Taylor has been a student at Beddow Academy from the age of 9. She has since performed in Beddow productions and local pantomimes, and has passed many dance examinations throughout her time at Beddow Academy. Taylor now teaches street as well as continuing to further her dance qualifications at the academy.
